From Surviving to Leading with Heart and Wisdom

I didn’t just study resilience —I lived it.

Experience

After surviving 18 years of psychological abuse and emotional gaslighting, I didn’t find healing through perfection—but through deep inner work, radical honesty, and the courage to begin again. My daughter was my catalyst. Leaving that environment as a single mother with no roadmap—only fierce determination—I rebuilt my life. In doing so, I discovered the transformative power of emotional intelligence, advocacy, and truth-telling.

That journey led me to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and the founder of Healing Hearts Empowering Minds, a trauma-informed group practice dedicated to holistic, culturally responsive care. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with survivors, high-performing professionals, school districts, and mission-driven organizations—all with the same goal: to help people and systems lead with intention, insight, and integrity.

This is more than my career—it’s my calling, rooted in lived experience. I remain deeply humbled by the thousands of individuals I’ve had the honor of walking alongside in their pursuit of calm, clarity, and fulfillment. As I grow this mission through coaching and consulting, my hope is to reach even more people—from all walks of life—on their journey toward healing, wholeness, and self-actualization.

With purpose and heart,

  • This interdisciplinary degree provided a strong foundation in understanding social systems, human behavior, and the legal frameworks that shape individual and collective experiences. It deepened my insight into social justice, systemic inequality, and the impact of policy on marginalized communities—insights that now inform my trauma-informed coaching, advocacy, and consulting practices.

This credential authorizes me to develop and lead comprehensive school counseling programs across preschool through 12th grade and adult education settings. My work includes academic, career, and social-emotional support; school-wide prevention and intervention strategies; and collaborative consultation with educators and families. I also supervise advisory programs aligned with California Education Code. As part of my coaching and consulting practice, I advocate for equitable student access through the development of 504 Plans and IEP supports, ensuring students with diverse needs receive appropriate assessments, accommodations, and trauma-informed interventions that promote long-term success.

  • This authorization allows me to support students from preschool through grade 12, as well as adult education programs, by addressing barriers to academic success through attendance advocacy, policy reform, and community collaboration. I am trained to connect students and families to public and private resources—including social services and law enforcement—while guiding school personnel on laws related to due process and student welfare. My work includes improving school attendance, participating in systemic reform, and fostering culturally responsive practices that support engagement and equity for diverse student populations.

  • Awarded by the California Department of Health Care Access and Information, this certification affirms my training in delivering trauma-informed, strengths-based wellness coaching. I specialize in working with survivors of abuse, first-generation professionals, and high-performing individuals navigating burnout, chronic stress, and emotional overwhelm.
